CCC Library's services (Summer 2022)

This guide details CCC Library's adjusted services and resources during the College's COVID-19-related closure.

Research Help: CCC Library is open online for research and assignment help. More info is on our Get Help page.

Library Books and Materials: The physical library space is closed, but you can order library books. More details below.

Tutoring and the Writing Center: You can make an appointment online for either in-person or remote tutoring. Visit the Tutoring homepage for more information.

Study Space: Need a computer or place to study? The Academic Computing Lab is open and there are seating areas on the Oregon City campus open right now. Library study spaces are closed until further notice.

CCC Faculty & Staff

To accommodate the closure, library staff have made the following (temporary) adjustments to services:

Due date extensions, suspension of holds, Summit / ILL

Library materials can be returned to the library drop box on campus. We will not charge for items that are move into "lost status" as a result of our closure. 

  • Items that are due between 2/24/20 - 6/10/22 have had the due date extended to 9/21/22
  • Your library materials will have extended due dates.
  • Items on hold will remain on the shelf.
  • Summit Borrowing and Lending as well as Interlibrary Loan are available. More info on our Summit and ILL page.
  • ILL articles can still be requested with our ILL Request Form.

Course Reserves

Adapted Course Reserves services are available.

Checking out library material

You can place orders for physical library materials like books and DVDs! Summit and ILL are also available if you would like materials from another library. You can schedule a time to pick up materials from CCC or other libraries, or we can mail you CCC library items. (For faculty and staff: If you have a campus mailbox both CCC and other library materials will be sent there.)

Instructions for getting CCC Library materials:

  • Find the item(s) you would like in the library catalog. If you need help finding items, check out this library page or contact a librarian at reference@clackamas.edu.
    • Sign into to your CCC Library Account (using your Clackamas email address and password).
    • After you are signed in and click on the item you want, you should see an option for "Request CCC's copy." Click it. Image shows the appearance of the Request CCC's copy link.
    • Select Dye Learning Center as your pickup location using the dropdown menu. Note: We offer pick-up or mail options - instructions will be shared with you through your Clackamas email address.
    • If you have a campus mailbox, you can request campus delivery. CCC Staff and Faculty can visit the faculty and staff resource page to learn about campus mailbox delivery.
    • Click "Request."
  • Once the item is available you will get an email from CCC Library that will prompt you to reply with your mailing address and/or schedule a pick-up time. If you are unable to receive the item by mail, you must have an appointment to pick up your item, CCC Library is offering contactless pick-up for items.
    • You must follow CCC safety protocols while on campus. This includes doing the daily self-health checklist and maintaining 6' of social distance. You can read more on the CCC Return to Campus page. Masks are encouraged.

Course Reserves are not available for pickup. Please place a textbook chapter scan request on our Course Reserves page. Questions about checking out physical items can be emailed to circ@clackamas.edu.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and Summit are both now available for getting materials from other libraries. You can learn more on our Summit and ILL page.
