Public libraries are different from CCC Library

Libraries in Clackamas County (LINCC) logoMany of you (especially learners taking classes at the Harmony Campus) use your public libraries to check out books. This is a great idea! Public libraries are convenient, have lots of fiction books and children's books, and have helpful librarians!

CCC Library is different than a public library:

  • CCC Library has books and materials specific to classes taught at Clackamas Community College.
  • CCC Library has Leveled Readers (your local public library probably does not).
  • CCC Library has a small fiction collection...your local public library has a lot more fiction books!
  • CCC Library is visited mostly by students and faculty, but the "public" is also welcome to visit us! Everyone is welcome!!
  • CCC Library has longer book check-out periods (6 weeks). Public libraries usually let you keep books for ~3 weeks.
  • CCC Library does not charge late fines. Most public libraries charge late fines.
