DA125 Hiatt

A course guide to support Kari Hiatt's DA 125 course.

Your textbook

You all get to use your textbook as one of your sources! Yay! That is super fantastic.

Course textbooks are a great place to find background information on topics related to your courses. However, if you need more information or want to verify or expand upon what the textbook says, this page has some ideas of what to try.

Encyclopedias

Encyclopedias are kind of in between popular and scholary sources. They are a good place to look for general information because they generally have facts without opinion attached to them. The most-used encyclopedias at CCC are from a collection called Gale eBooks - these are full-text and online.

Tips for using Gale eBooks:

  • Check your spelling! Always.
  • Use keywords, not sentences.
  • Double check the date on any sources you find.
