Check Us Out: Changes Have Arrived at CCC Library!

Wondering where things went? Here are some answers!

Finding books in our catalog

The Primo catalog is our new one-stop search tool to find items at CCC Library and 38 partner Summit libraries. A few things to know:

  • You can change where you search by selecting one of the following from the drop down menu:ven diagram of summit search
    • CCC Library shows books, eBooks, videos, and other items here at CCC Library only.
    • CCC + Summit lets you search for items at CCC Library, and at 38 other academic libraries in the region who have agreed to loan to each other through a program called Summit. Books through Summit usually arrive between 2-5 days.
    • CCC + Summit + Articles lets you search for all of the items in Summit and the CCC Library, but also allows you to search most of our databases at the same time. It will search databases from ProQuest and Gale but not from EBSCO. For EBSCO articles, you will need to go to the A-Z database list and search the individual databases.
    • Course Reserves - These items are textbooks and classroom materials that your instructor has put on reserve
  • To use Summit to request items or put items on hold, you will need to log in using your myClackamas log in email and password.
  • Once you have started a search, you can tweak your results by selecting or excluding search fields such as resources type (e.g., print books or eBooks), Subject, Author, date range, and even language.

Research guides

We now have a series of guides, called Research Guides, that organize content for easy use! Some courses will have their own guide (especially if the class came into the library!) and a few subjects have their own guide (like Nursing and Writing). You will find a list of the available guides by selecting Research Guides at the top of the page.

Look for guides on topics like Fake news, Citation help, and Research help.

Your CCC Library account

Currently-enrolled students, faculty members, and college staff have access to all library services and resources. This includes materials available at CCC and at partner Summit libraries, as well as articles, streaming videos, eBooks, and more through our databases. In order to access these resources, you will need to log into your account.

Your library account is easy to manage and it allows you to see what books you have on hold, what books you have requested, and how much you owe in fines and fees. You will also need to sign in to your CCC Library account to request books through Summit or put books on hold.

Your library account is tied to your myClackamas account, and you will use the same login information.

Clackamas County community members may apply for a Community Borrowers card. Contact the Circulation Desk for questions about how to obtain a card.
