How to find books

If you are looking for a book or an eBook about fairy tales or about your chosen fairy tale, the library catalog is the tool for the job.

1. Start by typing a search term in the catalog search bar like "fairy tales" or maybe the title of your fairy tale.

2. Choose CCC Library from the dropdown menu. Click Search.

3. Next, you can choose the format you want by selecting eBooks or print books on the left side of the screen.

4. To find a print book in the library, make sure you check the Location and Call Number. Usually the location is General Collection which are the main book shelves at the back of the library.

5. The call number is like the address of the book. It will start with two letters and you will find the shelves labeled with those two letters. Then, use the numbers to find the specific book on the shelf. Finding books on the shelf can be hard! Need help? Ask a librarian at the research help desk!

6. You can find eBooks in the catalog, too. If you find an eBook you want to read, click "Online access" then you will see another link that will look like the one below, but might say something different. If you're off-campus, you will be asked to log in with your CCC credentials.
