  • Cold Turkey is a website blocker available for Windows and MacOS that helps you overcome distraction and get to work. Cold Turkey comes with a default distraction list, or you can create your own custom list of websites you don't want access to while you work.You can start a distraction-free session with a timer, or schedule work time in advance. Once a website is blocked you can't access it until your scheduled work-time is over. Try to access a blocked site? Cold Turkey will show you a motivational quote instead! The basic application is free, and students can request 20% off when purchasing the premium version.

There are over 330 million study sets to choose from, and Quizlet will help you learn by cycling through flashcards and showing you which you are familiar with and which you have mastered. Quizlet's basic services are free but you can pay to access the premium version.

Spreed

  • Spreed helps you speed read any document or web page on the internet. By displaying the text in a unique way, you are able to read material much faster - simply highlight the text, right click, and select "Spreed selected text."
