Definitions for words used on this website:

  • Authentic: "Authentic" English is spoken by people in the United States, Canada, England, and other countries where English is an Official Language. It is not slowed down or simplified in any way for ESOL learners.
  • Resources: a broad, "catch-all" term for different types of information, including online newspapers, podcasts, websites, and videos.

Your CCC instructors Jennifer and DeAnn, and your CCC librarian Jane, have compiled listening resources for you to use. These resources are online, available in easier and authentic English, and will help you build your listening skills.

Before you visit these resources, review your Listening Log assignment and your Listening Practice worksheet, both available in Moodle.

If you have any questions, ask Jane for help! My contact information is on this page.
