Technology FAQs

  • I'm locked out of my account because of secondary / dual authentication. What do I do?
  • Call the CCC IT department at 503-594-3500; they can reset your password over the phone. Have your eight-digit student ID number ready.
    If you prefer in-person help, come to the Academic Computing Lab in the Dye Learning Center.
  • Why can't I log in?: My username/password doesn't work.
  • Are you able to log into both myClackamas AND Moodle with the same username and password?
    • If no, reset your myClackamas password, wait 30 minutes, and try again.
    • If yes, identify the problem and a solution below.
    • I am unable to log into a library database (e.g., EBSCO).
      • For your username, make sure you’re using your entire CCC student email (including the @student.clackamas.edu) and myClackamas password.
      • Double check that CAPS lock is off.
      • Double check your spelling.
      • For help, contact CCC Library’s IT specialist Mark Kremkow (mark.kremkow@clackamas.edu, 503-594-6152).
    • I am unable to log into the CCC Library Catalog.
      • For your username, make sure you’re using your entire CCC student email (including the @student.clackamas.edu) and myClackamas password.
      • Double check that CAPS lock is off.
      • Double check your spelling.
      • For help, contact CCC Library’s IT specialist Mark Kremkow (mark.kremkow@clackamas.edu, 503-594-6152).
    • A link in Moodle is not working.
  • Why can't I log in: Clicking on a library link isn't working; link is broken.
  • What you need to do: Contact a librarian through 24/7 Ask a Librarian chat and ask for help getting the resource. Second, please let your instructor know that the link is broken.
    • A link to a library resource is incorrect if you follow it and land on any of the following:
      Faculty: Linking to articles and more contains instructions for creating links to library resources that will work from on and off campus.
    • CCC’s homepage.
    • A CCC page that says the requested page could not be found.
    • A sign-in screen that isn’t the CCC login or has a logo other than CCC’s.
  • Can I take computer classes at CCC?
  • Yes! Community Education offers low-cost computer and internet classes.
  • What technology equipment is available?
  • A full inventory of CCC Library’s computers, printing, copying, scanning, phone chargers, calculators, and technology can be found here. We do not have a fax machine available. We have ADA desks, computers, and software available. Dye Learning Center is also home to the Academic Computing Lab, which is a quiet space to work on a computer.
  • Is there wireless printing?
  • Yes. To set up wireless printing on your personal device, please make sure that you are connected to CCC student wifi and follow these instructions. (Note: wireless printing is not compatible with most Chromebooks, unless they are CCC-owned.)
  • Where can I make color copies?
  • CCC Library has two color copy machines. Students can make copies for free.
  • Can I print in color?
  • Yes. Our computers default to print to the library's color copiers. Users will need to select "color" when they release their print job. Students can print (color or black / white) for free.
  • Can community members print at the library?
  • Yes! Community members, please talk to a staff member for free printing.
