CCC Library and the Dye Learning Center offer a whole host of technology and office solutions for all users. We are your one-stop technology and printing shop. In addition to borrowing pencils, pens, tape, calculators, phone chargers, paper-cutter, or scissors, you can use computers, print, make copies and scan documents. We do not have a fax machine available.
The Dye Learning Center hosts the Academic Computing Lab which provides computer access and "drop-in" tutoring support for a variety of needs such as printing, accessing information on Moodle, using Microsoft Office applications, and getting started with Northstar Digital Literacy.
There is also one Mac station in the Lab that has the Creative Cloud suite installed for student use. Priority access for this computer will be given to students enrolled in related Art, Digital Media Communications, and Journalism courses.
Additional desktop computers are located throughout the library, as well as Streeter Quiet Computer Lab (S137) in Streeter Hall. There are four computer stations in Streeter Lab that are equipped with webcams and headphones for attending Zoom meetings; these computers are accessible for students Monday-Thursday from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
Students are able to print from computers in the Dye Learning Center or to set up wireless printing from their own devices. Printing is free.
Students are granted $5 worth of free printing credits and are allowed to print up to 30 pages at one time, with a maximum of 60 pages per day. Black and white printing costs $.07 per page. Color printing costs $.20 per page. Cash/card payments are not accepted for printing or copying; costs are tracked electronically through the Papercut application.
To print items using the desktop computers in Dye, select a computer. Open your document and click Print. Dye computers should default to the correct printer. When you select print, you will get a pop-up message prompting you to login to CCC's printing management software, PaperCut. To login to Papercut, students should enter their full CCC email and password. Log in and the print job will automatically release.
To set up wireless printing on your personal device, please make sure that you are connected to CCC student wifi and follow the instructions listed here. (Note: wireless printing is not compatible with most Chromebooks, unless they are CCC-owned.)
Community users should speak to a staff member at the Library Circulation Desk for assistance with printing/copying.
Both color and black/white copying is available in CCC Library.
Students must log in to the copier using their full CCC email address and password.
Please ask for help from the Library Circulation Desk, if needed!
Free scanning is available at CCC Library.
CCC Library has 4-in-1 USB universal cell phone chargers available for 3-hour checkout at the Circulation Services desk.
In addition, all electrical outlets along the outside walls of the Quiet Study Area are USB-compatible.
Free laptop chargers for both Mac and PC.
CCC Library has over-the-ear headphones for you to borrow, available at the Circulation Desk.
If noise bothers you, we have one-time use disposable earplugs. (And also suggest using our Quiet Study Area!)
CCC Library has a wide selection of scientific and graphing calculators available for 3-hour checkout at the Circulation Services desk.
The library has 3 Dell monitors available for full-term checkout. These can be connected to a student's personal laptop or computer for use as an additional screen. Students enrolled in BA 131 and/or CS 120 may find these most useful.
