Northstar Digital Literacy

Create your new Northstar learner account to unlock access to assessments and tutorials.

• You need your first name, last name, and an email address. (We recommend you use your Clackamas email address.)
• You will receive a confirmation email with your Northstar account information and instructions for setting a password. (The email will look like this.)

Log in to your Northstar learner account. You will be taken to a webpage with a list of digital literacy topics and assessments.

1. Take an assessment
2. Practice your skills in a tutorial
3. Take a proctored assessment.
   If you are interested in taking a proctored assessment, please email reference@clackamas.edu

Instead of creating and remembering a new password to use Northstar, you have the option of logging in with your Google (Gmail) account instead. Follow these steps to use your Gmail account to log in to Northstar Online Learning (NSOL):

Step 1: Sign in to your Gmail account.

• Go to gmail.com.
• Type your email address. Click next.

• Type your password. Click next. 

Step 2: Sign up for a new account on Northstar Online Learning

• Go to Northstar Online Learning to sign up for a new account.
• Click Log in with Google

Step 3: Click on your Gmail account

• Click continue.

• You will be redirected to Northstar where you can get started using your account.

• Whenever you log in to Northstar you will use your Gmail address and click the Log in with Google button.
