Find legislation

Find information ABOUT legislation

Many agencies and organizations evaluate and share background and contextual information about health care policy legislation, especially those sponsoring—or work with folks highly impacted by—the legislation.

Search directly on agency / organization webpages; or, use Google and the agency / organization base URL.

Screenshot of Google search using site:. command

  • How? Use site:.[domain] as a command to search within a general type of agency or specific organization's website.
    • Search within government agencies' websites: site:.gov
    • Search within the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's website: site:ahrq.gov
    • Search within college and university websites: site:.edu
    • Search within Clackamas Community College's website: site:clackamas.edu
  • Why? Google may offer a better search engine with a more complex search algorithm.
  • Beware of shady or inaccurate websites. Check the organization's URL to make sure you are on the official organization's website.
