English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

A guide to support all English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Program for Intensive English (PIE) students with library resources and services.

Welcome to your new office

CCC Library and the Dye Learning Center offer a whole host of technology and office solutions for all users. We are your one-stop technology and printing shop. In addition to borrowing pencils, pens, tape, calculators, phone chargers paper-cutter, or scissors, you can use computers, print, make copies and scan documents. We do not have a fax machine available.

Dye Learning Center computers

The Dye Learning Center hosts the Academic Computing Lab which provides computer access and "drop-in" tutoring support for a variety of needs such as printing, accessing information on Moodle, using Microsoft Office applications, and getting started with Northstar Digital Literacy.

Note: CCC Library is getting new computers over summer 2024 term. We do not have computers available until then.

Printing

Students are able to print from Academic Computer Lab computers. Printing is free.

Students are granted 30 pages of free printing per credit, per term. To print items, students need to have a print account created (where funds are deposited on your behalf each term). Speak to Josh Aman (in Dye 127) for help creating an account or adding funds to a depleted account. Note: to print in color your document must be on a USB flash drive - then you can print color for 15 cents a page on the color copier.

Community users should speak to a librarian to access free printing.

Copying

Both color and black/white copying is available in CCC Library.

  • Color copies cost 15 cents/page.
  • B/W copies cost 10 cents/page.

The copy machines accept cash and credit/debit cards.

  • High-Speed Scanners (2): Located in our upper lounge area, these scanners allow you to quickly scan material and email it, or save it to a USB flash drive.
