Beginning Summer 2024, CCC Library is implementing a new Instruction Request Form. This new form uses skip logic to make sure that you only answer questions relevant to the type of library support you need, and provides librarians with the information we need to plan lessons that align with the research needs of your students.
General guidelines for requesting instruction:
Collaborate with a CCC Librarian on an in person instruction session.
Share time and space with a CCC Librarian in your physical classroom or in ours, D112 (in the Library). We incorporate active learning time for students to practice and strengthen their research skills. Content is based on your assignments and requested learning outcomes.
We offer in person instruction at all CCC locations.
Collaborate with a CCC Librarian on a live Zoom instruction session.
Share time with a CCC Librarian online in your Zoom room, or your librarian's. While our Zoom instruction sessions are more show-and-tell oriented, we do strive to incorporate online activities that encourage reflection and feedback sharing. Content is based on your assignments and requested learning outcomes.
Live Zoom sessions can be recorded for you to share in your Moodle classroom. Recordings are available for the length of time indicated by OLET's retention policy.
If you teach a hybrid or online course, a recorded Zoom instruction session may be for you.
Your CCC Librarian will record an instruction or orientation session tailored to the needs of your class. You can share the recording via email and Moodle. Content is based on your assignment and requested learning outcomes. We keep our recorded instruction sessions short and directly related to reflecting the tools and skills that students are asked to demonstrate on an assignment(s).
Recordings are available for the length of time indicated by OLET's retention policy.
Course Guides are customized "mini-library" websites built to reflect your curriculum and assignments.
Librarians curate useful information for your students to help them find, retrieve, and evaluate resources. Content is created and / or selected based on your assignments.

Northstar Digital Literacy is a web-based learning tool where learners can test their computer skills and learn new skills on their own, at their own pace. Digital literacy encompasses three big categories of skills: finding and consuming digital content; creating digital content; and communicating or sharing it.
Northstar is available in English and Spanish.
