Chronicle of Higher Education

The Chronicle of Higher Education (CHE), also called The Chronicle, has "the nation’s largest newsroom dedicated to covering colleges and universities." The Chronicle publishes every weekday and is a top destination for news and jobs for people in higher education. Their website features unlimited access to news, advice, and data; an archive of previously published content back to 1989; discussion forums; and a higher education job board and salary comparison data.

Accessing CHE

First time user

To access Chronicle of Higher Education (CHE) content, you need to first register for a free CHE account using your CCC email address.

  1. Go to CHE using CCC Library's access link.
  2. Select Sign In (upper right) or Register for a free account (upper left).
  3. Select Sign Up.

  4. Complete the registration fields. Sign up with your CCC email address.

  5. Select Sign Up.
  6. You will receive a confirmation email.
  7. Follow the provided link to verify your email. You'll be taken to Chronicle.com and can sign in.

Returning user

Once you've signed up for an account, you can go directly to Chronicle.com on any of your devices. Sign in using your CCC email address and you're good to go!
